Safeguarding

Grove Lea Primary School is committed to safeguarding and ensuring that all pupils are safe from harm. All the staff and volunteers in our school have undergone DBS checks and receive regular training to ensure they can promote children’s safety.

Should you have any safeguarding concerns, you should contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads named above.  If wish to make contact with our Safeguarding Governor, please contact the school office.

Any allegations or disclosure involving a member of staff, a child’s foster carer or a volunteer at this school MUST be reported directly to the Headteacher without delay. If the allegation involves the Headteacher it must be reported to the chair of Governors, again without delay.

The Governor who oversees Safeguarding and Child Protection is Mrs A Buckler. She can be contacted via the school office.

SO If you have concerns about a child’s safety or well-being you should contact Social Care Direct free on 0345 8503 503. They will deal with your concerns and can offer advice and support on what to do.

If you have concerns about a pupil’s welfare outside of school hours or during the school holidays you are advised to contact Social Services or the Police.
